Optimize Rehab and Performance is a mobile Physical Therapy practice, seeing patients in the Kansas City, Missouri metro. We aspire to help patients get out of pain and achieving whatever goals they may have, from returning to walking their dog to returning to the court, field, or mat! We aim to improve patient’s lives by providing excellent care, superior service, and human to human connection.
We treat orthopedic conditions ranging from a sprained ankle, knee pain that prevents you from running, back pain that prevents you from moving, or post operative rehabilitation to regain the function of your body.

We see patients at their desired location: their home, apartment, gym, office, or whatever is most optimal for you. We provide the convenience of coming to you, on your time, in the environment you feel most comfortable.
We are located in the Kansas City, Missouri metropolitan area. We see patients in Kansas City, Independence, Lee’s Summit, Blue Springs, Liberty, Kearney, Riverside, North Kansas City, Grain Valley, Oak Grove, and everywhere in between.
Where do you see patients?
Do I need a referral or prescription from my doctor?
No. This is what is termed “direct access” and as of August 2023, Missouri residents no longer need a prescription to begin physical therapy. This has been common practice for many states, dating back to the 1950s. There are some limitations regarding how long you can be seen by a physical therapist before a physician needs to have some oversight, but we would love to help start your care immediately, without delay. Research shows that the earlier care is initiated, the more costs are reduced and the faster you can return to the activities you love. If and when physician involvement is needed, we can help you navigate the healthcare system and fast track you to the right person to help you with your condition.
We believe your well-being should be the priority, not insurance company mandates. That's why we've chosen to operate as an Out-of-Network Provider. This means:
